LECTURE - The Meaning of the Sangha

Every kind of Buddhists puts their trust and confidence into the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha. This third refuge, the Sangha, is the friends on the way. They are the group of people with whom we develop in our Buddhist practice. Surrounding oneself as much as possible with advanced people, and sharing similar values is important on the way. Developing together with close friends is simply the best.

This lecture will be given by Srdjan Ivanovic, a traveling teacher that lives and works as an I.T. project manager in Belgrade, Serbia. He has 13 years of teaching experience and has been a student of Lama Ole Nydahl since 1996.

There is a suggested donation of $10 for this lecture. No one in our centers is paid, and donations help cover the costs of inviting traveling teachers.

The Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Madison chapter of Diamond Way Buddhism belong to an international, non-profit network of nearly 700 lay groups and centers of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. The Diamond Way centers have been founded by Lama Ole and Hannah Nydahl and are under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje.
