Weekend with Daria Martens

This month we are celebrating 10 year in our space near Pike Place Market. The Seattle Diamond Way group started a year earlier so all together it's been 11 years!

We'll be hosting Daria Martens coming to us from Denver, who was instrumental in ramping up the center after it moved to our current location.

Friday
6pm - Dinner at Wann
8pm - Lecture: Buddhist Refuge plus 3 levels and 3 pillars of Diamond Way Buddhism; followed by guided meditation

Saturday

early - early bird personal practice
10am - Breakfast
11am - guided meditation followed by Lecture: Ngondro - Foundational Practices
2pm - potluck lunch
4pm - personal meditation practice
6pm - dinner at Long
8pm - Lecture: Meaning of Sangha; followed by guided meditation
late - refreshments and music

About Daria

Daria Martens was born in Novosibirsk, Russia. At 16 she met Lama Ole Nydahl on one of his yearly travels through Russia. She then began being involved with the local Diamond Way Buddhist centre in Ekaterinburg. She moved to Toronto, Canada in 2001 to establish the city’s first Diamond Way Buddhist centre. In 2007, Daria moved to Seattle to establish another Diamond Way centre. She now lives in Colorado. In 2006, at the wish of Lama Ole Nydahl, Daria began teaching in our centres.
