Lecture with Claudia
|When:||Monday May 22|
Join us for a lecture with Diamond Way teacher Claudia Faugenboeim.
In Buddhism we work towards gaining an understanding that we are not the thoughts and emotions that arise in our experience but the wisdom of mind beneath that is innately fearless, joyful, and actively compassionate. Our guest, travel teacher Claudia Faugenboeim, will speak about the five Buddha families in Diamond Way Buddhism and how to transform disturbing emotions to inherent wisdoms. These practical methods will allow us to realize mind’s inherent richness for the benefit of all. Lecture followed by questions and answers and short meditation.
Monday, May 22, 7:00 p.m.
Suggested donation: $10.00
Claudia took Buddhist refuge in 2003. Following Lama Ole's and Hannah's request, she helped establish the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Barcelona, Spain that same year. She worked for the development of the Dharma there until 2010, when she moved to Bogotá, Colombia where, together with few idealistic friends, she established the first live-in Diamond Way Buddhist Center of the country. Lama Ole asked Claudia to teach in December 2014. Claudia is Brazilian and has been working in Communications and Marketing, and will also start studying to become a Health Coach.
Diamond Way Buddhist Center of La Crosse belongs to an international non-profit network of over 600 lay Diamond Way Buddhist centers of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, founded by Lama Ole Nydahl and under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje.
Diamond Way Buddhism offers practical and effective methods to realize mind’s inherent richness for the benefit of all. With an accessible and modern style, it works with people’s confidence and desire, using every situation in life to develop fearlessness and joy. We always present a basic introduction for newcomers, and the meditations are guided in English.
